Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Lamb, daughter of John and Nancy Edgington, was born March 31, 1858, near Palestine in Crawford county, Illinois. Departed this life January 7, 1933, aged 74 years, nine months and six days.

She died at the home of her only daughter, Mrs. Hester Flinn, of Hickory Hill township, where she had made her home since the death of her husband, July 7, 1931.

She was united in marriage to Henry Lamb, August 22, 1888.  To this union were born three children, Elmer Lamb, Mrs. Hester Flinn and Ray Lamb all of nnear Orchardsville, Illinois. She also leaves to mourn their loss one brother, Henry Edgington, of Mapleton, Iowa, and one sister, Prudie Gaines of Robinson, Illinois, and seven grand children and two great grand children.
