SCHUYLER  COLFAX  FEARN

Schuyler Colfax Fearn, son of Grant and Ida Fearn was born July 27, 1885 near Geff, Illinois, where he resided all, his life. He was united in marriage with Luella Edith Smith March 26, 1905. To this union four children were born. One daughter Helen Marie and one son Schuyler Dale died in infancy.

He was converted several years ago, confessed his faith in Christ and united with the General Baptist Church and later transferred his membership to the Methodist Church at Geff. On May 10, 1943 he suddenly passed away at the home of his son Dwight east of Geff at the age of 57 years, nine months and thirteen days.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his faithful companion, his aged mother, Mrs. Grant Fearn of Geff; two sons, Roy of Cisne and Dwight of Geff; two daughter-in-law, Alta and Virginia, two brothers, Guy of Fairfield and Joseph of Geff; three sisters, Mrs. Frad Stahler of Rochester, Indiana; Mrs. G.T. Hoskins and Mrs. George Cravens of Fairfield; four grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted at the Methodist Church at Geff, Illinois, May 13, 1943 at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. Homer R. Herrin his pastor. Interment was in the Bestow cemetery.
