DIES SATURDAY
Lifelong Resident of
Southern Wayne County
Sucumbs in Hospital;
Funeral Held Monday

Mrs. Elizabeth Fox, 76, wife of William B. (Willie) Fox, prominent residents of BarnhiIl township in southern Wayne county, died Saturday at 11 p. m. in the Jefferson Memorial hospital at Mt. Vernon.

Mrs. Fox had suffered from heart complication for several years, but suddenly grew worse last Thursday.  She was taken to the hospital on Friday.

Funeral services were conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at Nales Funeral Home with the Rev. Harry L. Garrett officiating.  Pall bearers were Clarene Robison, Lawson Harris, Eugene Simpson, Vernal Simpson, Elbert  Simpson and Tom Puckett.  Interment was in Maple Hill cemetery.

Elizabeth Simpson Fox, daughter of Henry and Margaret Simpson, was born February 21, 1874, near Barnhill.  She spent her entire life in Barnhill township, north of Mill Shoals.

She was united in marriage to William Fox August 19, 1896.  She accepted Christ as her saviour during a revival meeting at Mill Shoals several years ago.

Five sisters and one brother preceded her In death.

Surviving are her husband; three brothers, George, Alva and Wilburn Simpson, all of Barnhill; many nephews and nieces, and other relatives and friends.
