Emma Vaughan, daughter of E. N and Elizabeth Vaughan, was born February 10, 1871, and departed this life at the age of 72 years and five days.

On December 6, 1888, she was married to George P. Ewing.  To this union ten children were born, preceding her in death (missing words)  Arcie (missing word) Annie.

She professed faith in early life and united with Pleasant Grove Baptist church where she remained a member.

Surviving are her husband, four daughters and four sons; Mrs. Grace Hon, Mrs. Veda Elliot, Mrs. Lola Elliot, all of Fairfield; and Mrs. Edith Robinson and Frank, of Anderson, Ind.; Lawrence Lester and Robbley, of Fairfield; thirty three grandchildren and one great grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Sallie Musgrave, of Burnt Prairie; Mrs. Maggie Boze, of Anderson, Ind. and three brothers, J. A. Vaughan, of Burnt Prairie; Courtney Vaughan, Fairfield; and Ben Vaughan, of Idaho.
