Mrs. Bertha A. Kautz, 93, formerly of Rinard died Friday, Apr. 7, 1995, at a hospital in Melbourne, Fla.

Interment will follow at a later date at the Indian Prairie (Bunker) Cemetery near Rinard.

She was born Nov 4, 1901, at Johnsonville, the daughter of James Franklin and Mary Ann Leathers Shehorn.  She grew up in the Rinard area.  On Nov. 24, 1920, she was married to Richard G. Kautz, with two sons born to their union. A son, Richard James, is deceased.  Her husband passed away Apr. 8, 1983. Also preceding her in death were her parents, one grandson, two sisters and three brothers.

The Kautz' moved to Florida upon retirement.

Surviving are a son, William E. Kautz, of Melbourne, Fla.; a daughter-in- law, Mrs. Richard Kautz, of Flora; three grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
