Mrs. Eliza J.  Lewis, 95, died at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Apr. 4, 1995, at her home on Route 5, Fairfield.

Mrs. Lewis was a housewife.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday from Nale's Funeral Home, with Bro. E. R. Adams officiating. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.  Visitation at Nale's will be 6 to 8 Thursday evening (tonight).

She was born at Aden Feb. 3, 1900 the daughter of H. King and Margaret Taylor Turner.  On Feb. 23, 1924, she was married to James P. Lewis. Her husband passed away May 21, 1961. Also preceding her in death were her parents, one brother and one sister.

Surviving are two sons, James P. Lewis, of Fairfield; and Lawrence Lewis, of Decatur; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
