Mrs. Ruby Starks, 75, Dies At Memorial Skilled Care

Mrs. Ruby Starks, 75, of Fairfield, died at the Skilled Care Unit of Fairfield Memorial Hospital at 3:40 a.m. Monday, Apr. 3, 1995.  Mrs. Starks had been in Skilled Care for a couple of months and in declining health with cancer.      She had worked at the Uptown Motel Restaurant and the Elks Dining Room.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the Johnson Funeral Home, with interment in Maple Hill Cemetery.  Visitation at the Johnson Chapel will be conducted from 6 to 8 Tuesday evening.

She was born in Crouch Township of Hamilton County Nov. 9, 1919, the daughter of Allen and Ada Coats Hall.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, two brothers and one sister.

Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Southern Illinois.

Surviving are three sons, Robert L. Hall, of Altoona, Iowa; Bill Starks, Fairfield; and Randy Starks, Fairfield; two daughters, Della Morris, of Fairfield; and Nancy Stallings, of Fairfield; two brothers. Roy Hall, of Decatur; and Ray Hall, of St. Clair, Mo.; one sister, Wrethia Galloway, of Olney; four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
