Roy L, Rodgers, 73, of Fairfield, formerly of Cisne, passed away at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at the Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

He was born on May 28, 1935 at Geff to Archie and Iva L. (Richards) Rodgers.  He married Reba Conard on August 22, 1959 at Mt. Vernon.

He retired in May of 1997 as a truck driver for Champion Laboratoies at Albion. He was a vetern and a member of the Blue Point Free Will Baptist Church at Cisne.

Surviving Roy are his wife, his daughter Jodi Peach and her husband Jim of Albion and one grandson, Tyler Peach. Also surviving are two sisters: Mildred Willison of Clay City and Patsy Davis of Yale, Ill.; and five brothers: Robert and wife Nelda of Fairfield, Russel and wife Betty of Cisne, Gene and wife Sue of Seymour, Ill., Carrol and friend Loleta of Cisne, and Delbert and wife Becky, also of Cisne.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Visitation was held from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne.  Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Hosselton Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Cisne Cemetery. Brother Ernie Lewis and Brother David Shores officiated.

Memorials may be made to the Blue Point Free Will Baptist Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
