Mrs. Sarah Taylor,
Mill Shoals Dies
at Daughter's Home

Mrs. Sarah Adaline Taylor, 80, of MIII Shoals died Sunday evening at the home of a daughter,  Mrs. Archie Duckworth,  there,

She was a daughter of Joseph ).id Sarah Vaughan, and was born Feb. 18, 1870 and departed this life Sept. 3, 1950 at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Archie Duckworth, of MIII Shoals.

On Jan. 10, 1888 she was united in marriage to William R. Taylor. To this union nine children were born, six sons and three daughters. Her husband preceded her in death about 16 years ago.

Mrs. Taylor was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Primitive Baptist church, where she attended faithfully as long as her health would permit.

She was one of a family of four.  Two sisters, Mrs. Martha Odell and Lucinda Toomhs, also two half-sisters, Mrs. Mary Puckett and Mrs. Tom Perks, and a half-brother, Josephus Vaughan preceded her in death. A brother, Andrew Vaughan, of Mill Shoals, survives.

She leaves her nine children, namely: Mrs. Roscoe Duckworth, Mrs. Archie Duckworth and Mrs.
Gust Stahl of Mill Shoals, Jesse, of Anderson, Ind.,  Charley of Fairfield, Robert of Flint, Mich., Oscar, Henry and Ivan of Mill Shoals; 27 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friend.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m.   from Mt. Pleasant church, with the Rev. Oscar Wallace officiating, and interment was in the cemetery nearby.
