near Chicago, Sunday afternoon with lung cancer. Carroll, son of Grover and Hattie Wright Vaughan was born in Barnhill Twp.  Aug. 16, 1908.  He lived in that  vicinity until l940, when he moved to Chicago.  Mr. Vaughan had been employed at the Union Station there for 15 years.

Mr. Vaughan was married in 1934 to Eloise Puckett and one son was born to this union,

Surviving are his son Neil, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Grover Vaughan, also of Summitt, one sister, Mrs. Opal Walters of Chicago and 3 nieces, Shirley Merritt, Betty Dowdal, and Barbara Walters.
