TYRA STANLEY,  71,
DIES IN HOSPITAL

Lifelong Fairfield Resident Had Heart Ailment  for Several Years

Tyra Stanley, 71, retired Fairfield farmer, died Sunday morning at Memorial hospital. Mr. -Stanley, who had suffered from a heart ailment for,a year or more, had a severe heart attack Saturday and was taken to Memorial hospital, where he passed away.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the First Baptist church; with Rev. Harry L. Garrett  officiating. Burial was in Maple Hill cemetery.

Life Sketch.

Tyra Stanley, the son of James Casey and Eliza Stanley, was born  in  Wayne county September .1st,
1879.

He was married in March, 1902, to Miss Effie Carter.  To this union were born six children, with two daughters, Clete and Irene, who preceeded their father in death.

Mr. Stanley lived in or near Fairfield all his life. He was a mernber of the First Baptist church.  He was employed at the Dixon-Crippin Funeral Home for a number of years.

List Survivors

Surviving are four children, James Carson Stanley, Fairfield postmaster; Mrs. Ray Baker, and Miss Bernice Stanley, all of Fairfield, and Mrs. Clyde Bowden, of  Evansville, Ind.; three brothers and two sisters, Luke, of Palestine, Ill.; Charles, of Fairfield; Fred, of Prescott, Ark.; Mrs. Myrtle Thomas, of MoKinney, Texas, and Mrs Gilla Sager, of Fairfield; four grandchildren, and one great-grarrdchild.
