George Edgar Simpson, 76, a well-known Barnhill township  farmer died at 5:30 Tuesday morning  at the hospital in Anna where he had been a patient for the past 18 months.

He had been in failing health for some time.

Rites Thursday (Today)

Funeral services were held from Nale's Funeral Home Thursday afternoon (Today) with Rev. John Maulding officiating assisted by Rev. J. Wesley Reed.  Conclucting services were at Burnt Prairie cemetery.

Mr. Simpson lived his entire life in Barnhill township, south east of Fairfield.

He was born August 31st, 1882, the son of Henry and Margaret Powless Simpson.

List of Survivors

Mr. Simpson was married to Flora Quindry, and the coule took two young children, Leland Simpson and Jewell Simpson Bel--entger,  into their home to rear.  The daughter, wife of Arnold Beiswenger, of Mt. Carmel, died a few years ago.

Surviving are his wife, Flora; the son, Leland, also of Barnhilltownship; two  brothers, Alva and Wilburn Simpson both of Fairfield, and a number of nieces and nephews.
