WILLIAM  E.  VAUGHAN
DIES AT ALBION

Has Been In Poor Health For Several Years;
Rites Held Wednesday

William E Vaughan, 91, a lifetime Wayne county resident and farmer, south of Fairfield, died at the Albion nursing home Monday after several years of ill health.  He had been bedfast for some time.

He was the father of Mrs. Daisy Carter, of Ellery, and Mrs. Hazel Hutchcraft, of Geff.

Rites Are held

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the Pleasant Grove church with Rev. Wesley Reed officiating.  Burial was in Pleasant Grove cemetery.  Nales Funral Home was in charge.

Mr. Vaughan made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Hutchcraft, of Geff, a number of years after the death of his wife but in more present years had lived with his other daughter until being moved to the nursing home.

William E., son of Peter Vaughan and Eliza Atteberry, was born in Wayne county February 25, 1865.

He united with the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist church when a young man.

Married In 1894

Mr. Vaughan was married to Amanda R. Reed March 8th 1894, with four children born to this union, two of whom preceded  him in death, as did his wife.

Surviving are the two daughters, Mrs. Carter; of Ellery, and Mrs. Hutchcraft, 14 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Loren Paul Vaughan, of Fairfield (can not read last sentence).
