Michael Olen Baker Dies At Home In Elizabethtown

Michael Olen Baker, 27, of Elizabethtown, died at 4:45 p.m. Thursday, Mar. 28, 1996, at his home, from double pneumonia.

He was the grandson of the late Olen Baker, who served for years as Wayne County's circuit clerk, and Mrs Freda (Bob) House of Fairfield.

Baker lived with his parents, Judge and Mrs. Larry Baker. His father has served on the bench here in a number of cases.

Baker, who was never married, graduated from Oral Roberts University in Oklahoma and had worked in marketing.

Funeral rites were conducted from the Apostolic Church in Rosiclaire Monday afternoon (today). A visitation was held at that church Sunday evening. Burial was in the cemetery at Elizabethtown. The Cox Funeral Home handled arrangements.

Michael was born in Taiwan Jan. 2, 1969, the son of Larry and Joyce Bandy Baker.  He was a member of the Apostolic Church at Rosiclaire.

Surviving are his parents, Judge and Mrs. Larry Baker; one brother, Marcus, of Elizabethtown; one sister, Mrs. Kevin (Melanie) Dixon, of Union, Mo.; his grandmother, Mrs. Bob (Freda) House, of Fairfield; two nieces and an aunt.
