Myra Burner, 69, Of Fairfield, Dies

Mrs. Myra E. Burner, 69, of 807 N. First St., the widow of the late Clifford Burner, died unexpectedly Saturday morning, Mar. 5, 1983, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Danny Pappas, of Fairfield.

Mrs. Burner's body was found at 7:15 a.m. lying on the front room floor by Mr. Pappas when he returned from work at Fairfield Memorial Hospital.

She had been under a doctor's care.  Death was due to a heart attack, the family said.

Funeral services will be held at 1: 30 p.m. Tuesday at the Johnson Funeral Home with Rev. Virgil Tatum and Rev. Ronald Strong officiating. Burial will be in West Antioch Cemetery east of Mill Shoals.   Visitation for family and friends will be conducted from 6-9 p.m. Monday (tonight) at the funeral home.

Mrs. Burner was born in Hamilton County Mar. 8, 1913, the daughter of James F. and Josephine (Acord) Brown. She was married to Clifford Burner in White County in 1931. He was employed as a farmworker and preceded her in death in January of 1977.

Mrs. Burner was a housewife and homemaker during her marriage. For the past few years, she had babysat for several of her grandchildren.

She was a member of the Jesus Name United Pentecostal Church of Fairfield.

Survivors include five daughters, Jeneva Kline, of Barnhill; Mrs. Melvin (Christina) Clark, Mrs. Marvin (Joyce) Caldwell and Mrs. Danny (Judi) Pappas, all of Fairfield; and Mrs. Shirley Hon, of Perrine, Fla.; three sons, James and Homer Burner, both of Fairfield; and Darrell Burner, of Norris City; one brother, Frank Brown, of Keensburg; 18 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one daughter; and two half brothers.
