Wayne City Woman's Mother Dies In Texico

Mrs. Katherine M. Graham, 50, of rural Texico, the mother of Mrs Gerald (Mary) Matthews of Wayne City, died at 10:35 a.m. Friday Dec. 16, 1983, at her home.

She operated a cleaning service for several years.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon with burial in Panther Fork Cemetery.

Mrs. Graham was born in Jefferson County July 22, 1933, to Earl L. and Pearl (Loss) Winkler. She married John Robinson, who preceded her in death.  She later married Emery Graham.

Survivors include her husband, Emery Graham, of Texico; her mother, Pearl Winkler, of Mt. Vernon; two sons, Jack E. Robinson, of Whidbey Island, Wash.; and J. R. Essley, Jr., of Atlanta;: six daughters,. Linda Sue Vizoso, of Atlanta; Mary Matthews, of Wayne City; Sharon Overby, of Belle Rive; Betty Warren and Carol Robinson, both of Mt. Vernon; and Loretta Graham, at home; two step-sons, Leroy Robinson, of Portland, Ore.; and Larry Robinson. of Chicago; three sisters. Shirley Stevhenson, of Fresno, Calif.; Dottie Dawson, of Jensen Beach, Fla.; and Agnes Harris, of Woodlawn; seven brothers, James Winkler, of Bluford; Bob Winkler, of Belrnont, Bill Winkler, of Centralia; and Marshall, Frank, Charles and Luther Winkler, all of Mt. Vernon; and 12 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father.
