Willard " Bud" Young Dies

 
Willard "Bud" Young, 75, a long-time Mill Shoals resident and a retired Airtex employee died at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, 1983, at Welborn Baptist Hospital in Evansville, Ind.   Mr. Young was hospitalized about six weeks. He had submitted to surgery for a ruptured blood vessel near his heart, the Press was told.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Christian Church in Mill Shoals. Burial will be in the Shrewsbury Cemetery there.   Visitation for family and friends will be held after 2 p.m. Friday at the Elledge Funeral Home in Mill Shoals.

Mr. Young was born in White County May 29, 1908, the son of Allen and Nellie (Corwin) Young. He was a life-long resident of White County.   He was married to the former Naomi Taylor in Carmi, July 21, 1933.      Mr. Young worked for many years at Airtex in the fuel pump department and retired 10 years ago.      He was a member and elder of the Mill Shoals Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Naomi Young, of Mill Shoals; three sons. Donnie Young of Fairfield; Edward Young, of Gary, Ind.; and Buddie Young, of Mill Shoals: one brother, Wilburn Young, of Yorktown. Texas; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren .

He was preceded in death by his parents.
