Retired Wayne City School Teacher Dies At Age 83

Mrs. Juanita Greenwalt, 83, of Wayne City, died at 3:10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, 1994, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon.     She had been in Failing health.  Mrs. Greenwalt was a retired school teacher, with 39 years in the Wayne City High School system.

Funeral services were conducted Monday morning (today) from the Wayne City First United Methodist Church, with Rev. Mark Canada officiating. Interment was in Thomason Cemetery at Wayne City. A visitation was held Sunday evening at the Richardson Funeral Home in Wayne City.

She was born in Wayne County Sept. 10, 1911, the daughter of Asa and Corine Neff Farmer.  On Apr. 10, 1951, she was married to Harvey Greenwalt.  Mrs. Greenwalt was a member of the Wayne City First United Methodist Church, the Wayne County Retired Teachers and was a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star No. 563.  Preceding her in death were her first husband; John Stevens; one brother and her parents.

Surviving are her husband; and two sisters-in-law, Cora Clifton, of Perry, Iowa; and Elsie Smith, of Geff.
