Willard Tullis, 78, Dies At Way-Fair; Rites

Willard Tullis, 78, of Fairfield, died at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, 1994, at Way-Fair Restorium.  Mr. Tullis had been at Way-Fair since this past summer and had suffered a stroke a year ago.   He was involved in oil field work in the Illinois Basin for about 50 years.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, from Nale's Funeral Home with Rev. Marvin Manning officiating, assisted by Rev. Ray Downard. Burial will be at Shrewsbury Cemetery at Mill Shoals. Visitation at Nale's Funeral Home will be from 7 to 9 Tuesday night and before the funeral on Wednesday.

He was born in White County Apr. 2, 1916, the son of William and Agatha Files Tullis.  On Nov. 21, 1936, he was married to Wanda Large.   Mr. Tullis was of the Baptist faith.

Preceding him in death were his parents, eight brothers and two sisters. One brother was his twin, Willis.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, James Tullis, of Zurich, Kans.; and Lowell
Tullis, of Fairfield; one daughter, Carolyn Zoeller, of Louisville, Ky.; seven
grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Norman Tullis of Mill
Shoals; and a number of nieces and nephews.        ø              Ralph
