Mrs. Marie Kays, Crossville, Dies At Hospital In Carmi

Mrs. Marie E. Kays, 79, of Crossville, died at 9:25 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 16, 1994, at the White County Hospital at Carmi.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the Strum Funeral Home in Crossville, with Rev. Mark Smith officiating. Interment will be in Little Wabash Cemetery at Crossville.  Visitation at the Strum Funeral Home will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

She was born June 7, 1915, at Fairfield, the daughter of Charles V. and Stella (Hooper) Harl. She was married Aug. 10, 1932, at Albion, to George Robert "Bob" Kays.  Mrs. Kays was a 50-year member of the Crossville Missionary Baptist Church.   She was preceded in death by her parents and one son. Charles E. "Whitey" Kays on Aug. 29, 1990.

Surviving are her husband, Bob; one daughter, Diana Campbell of Crossville; two sons, William E. Kays, of Carmi; and Dana Ray Kays, of Sherman, Tex.; one sister, Ruth Yates of Fairfield; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
