Willard M. Rose, 86, Dies At Hospital; Rites On Friday

Willard M. Rose, 86, of 806 West Water, died at Fairfield Memorial Hospital at 8:50 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, 1994, from cancer.  He was a longtime Airtex employee, retiring after 29 1/2 years service there. Mr. Rose had worked as a receiving clerk.  His condition had worsened in the last six weeks and he had been hospitalized in Evansville, Ind., before returning to Fairfield Memorial.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday from the Johnson Funeral Home, with Elders Dale Warren, Russell Blackford and Larry Woodrow officiating.  Burial will be in the Springerton Cemetery.  Visitation will
be 5 to 8 Thursday evening (tonight).

He was born in Hamilton County Feb. 17, 1908, the son of Grant and Mae Clark Rose.   On Oct. 26, 1929, he was married to Mary Rockett. On Oct. 26 this year they would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.  Mr. Rose was a member of the Fairfield RLDS Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents, one brother and two sisters.

Surviving are his wife; three sons, Donald, of Arlington, Tex.; Billy, of St. Charles, Mo.; and Jerry, of Granite City; two daughters, Marguriete Rose, of Fairfield; and Nancy Mayes, of Mansfield, Ohio; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
