Mrs. Naomi (Oma) Young, 80, Dies At Olney Care Center

Mrs. Naomi (Oma) Young, 80, of Mill Shoals, died at 7:50 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, 1994, at the Olney Care Center.  She had been at the Care Center three months and had suffered a stroke.  Mrs. Young was a seamstress at the Fairfield Garment Factory for over 20 years.                                   Ò‚é‚ô‚å‚ó‚

Funeral services were conducted Monday morning (today) from the Elledge Funeral Home in Mill Shoals, with Rev. Jim Conner officiating. Visitation was held Sunday evening. Interment was in Shrewsbury Cemetery at Mill
Shoals.

She was born in Anderson, Ind., July 24, 1914, the daughter of Charles and Lizzie Taylor.  On July 21, 933, she was married to Willard (Bud) Young.  Mrs. Young was a member of the Mill Shoals Christian Church for 50 years.   Preceding her in death were her husband; her parents; a granddaughter and a daughter-in-law.

Surviving are three sons, Buddie Young, of Mill Shoals; Edward Young, of Gary, Ind.; and Donald Young, of Fairfield; three sisters, Hattie Parks, of Carmi; Opal O'Dell, of Mill Shoals; and Ruby Haegele, of Fairfield; four grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and seven stepgreat-grandchildren.
