Albion Woman Dies; Had Wayne Relatives

Mrs. Lucy Perkins, 93, of Albion, died at 7:45 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, 1994, at Wabash General Hospital in Mt. Carmel.  Her death was due to causes incident to her advanced age.  Mrs. Perkins had been a resident of the general Baptist Nursing Home in Mt. Carmel.  Mrs. Perkins has relatives in Wayne County.  She was a homemaker and years ago worked at the Albion post office.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday from Ingram Funeral Home in Albion, with Rev. Bill Bunnage officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home is set for 6 to 8 Thursday evening (tonight).

She was born in Edwards County Feb. 23, 1901, the daughter of Joseph and Mina Kershaw Dixon.  On June 23, 1926, she was married to Carroll O. Perkins.  He passed away Oct. 13, 1993.  Also preceding her in death were her parents, two sons, three brothers and three sisters.  Mrs. Perkins was a member of the Browns Chapel Church south of Albion and was a charter member of the Edwards County Home Extension.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Leo (Faye) Shaw, of Albion; and Ronald Perkins, of Evansville, Ind.; three
grandchildren and three great.
