Alan Desch, Of Sims, Dies; Heavy Equipment Operator

Alan Desch, 31, of Sims, died at his home at 3:10  p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, 1994.  He had been ill with leukemia.   Mr. Desch was a heavy equipment operator.

Funeral rites will be held at 11 a.m. Friday from the Wayne City Christian Church, with Rev. Chuck Smith officiating. Interment will be in Pin Oak Cemetery north of Sims. Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Thursday (tonight) at the Richardson Funeral Home in Wayne City.

He was born at Sterling, Ill., Mar. 6, 1963, the son of John and Mary Jean Cook Desch.   On Dec. 30, 1982, he was married to Shery Crunk.  Mr. Desch was a member of the R.F. Casey Masonic Lodge No. 948.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Brandy Sue, at home; his mother and stepfather, Mary Jean and Bill Payne, of Rock Falls; three brothers, Kent Desch, of Sims; Jerry Desch, of Sterling; and Dale Sanders, of Rock Falls; and four sisters, Sherry Locey, of Wayne City; Barbara Desch, of Rock Falls; Beverly Nelson, of Mt. Vernon; and April Payne, of Peoria.
