Mrs. Grace M. Porter, 74, of 401 Highland, died at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Sep. 29, 1994, at Doctors Nursing Home in Salem. She was diagnosed with cancer in May and had been at the nursing home since July 22.  Mrs. Porter did housework in a number of homes here over the years.

Graveside services were conducted Saturday morning at Koontz Cemetery, with Rev. A. J. Driggers officiating. Nale's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. There was no visitation.

She was born at Maunie in White County Feb. 14, 1920, the daughter of Kelly and Myrtle Rose Attebury.  On Apr. 11, 1939, in Henderson, Ky., she was married to Andrew (Cap) Porter. He passed away Mar. 3, 1988. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister. She was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are one daughter, Darlene Andrews, of Fairfield; and two grandsons, Rick Ralph, of Evansville, Ind.; and Jamie Ralph, of Salem.
