Retired postmistress, Mrs. Zoe B. Thomason, 69, of Keenes, died at 6:30 a.m. Sunday, June 9, 1985, at her home following a lengthy illness.    Mrs. Thomason served as postmistress at Keenes for 21 years, prior to retiring nine years ago. She was the wife of Noel Thomason.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Tuesday at First Christian Church at Wayne City, with Bro. Loyal Gallaher officiating.  Interment will follow in Thomason Cemetery there.    Visitation for family and friends will be conducted after 6 p.m. Monday (tonight) at Richardson Funeral Home at Wayne City.

A native of Clay county, Mrs. Thomason was born Jan. 29, 1916, the daughter of Ora and Laura Bethel McQueen.  She was wed to Noel Thomason at Keenes, Aug. 3, 1936.  Mrs. Thomason was a member of Wayne City First Christian Church and Wayne City Women's Club.

Survivors include her husband, Noel Thomason, of Keenes; one son, Woody Thomason, of Keenes; three daughters, Mrs. Cecil (Lou) Cochran, of Clay City; Mrs. Donna Crocker. of Keenes; and Mrs. Gene (Vickie) Porter, of Johnsonville; one brother, Gerald McQueen, of Flora; two sisters, Mrs. George (Olive) Mitchner, of St. Louis, Mo.; and Mrs. Eber (Ruth) Wilson, of Johnsonville; and nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
