Mrs. Walter Atteberry
------
Edith Corene, daughter of R. F. and Hattie Atteberry, was
born in Jasper township Wayne County, Illinois, Jan, 29th 1897 where
she grew to womanhood. Three rears ago lastt November site
began work at the Sexton Factory continuing there until her marriage
to Walter Atteberry, October 25 1917. Edith was converted
at Ebenezer in a meeting conducted by Rev. O. O. Maxfield, February 1912
and united with the M. E. Church at that place and continued to be a member
until her death, which occurred June 5th, 1918 at her home
in Fairfield.
She leaves her devoted husband and an infant daughter, her mother, step-
father, brothers and sisters, grand father and grand mother
besides a host of friends, to mourn her departure. Funeral services were
held at Ebenezer on Thursdav June 6th by Rev. S. Albright and the
body was laid to rest in the cemetery near by.
