Mrs. Irene Ash, 79, of Noble, a former Keenes resident, died at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 5, 1985, at her home.      She was the daughter of the late George and Etta Thompson McLerran.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Summers Funeral Home, with Rev. Tom Pope and Bro. Roger Hillis officiating.  Burial was in Greenhill Cemetery at Noble.

Mrs. Ash was born at Keenes Sept. 7, 1905. She married George Ash Oct. 28, 1925. She was a member of Wynoose United Church for Christ.

Survivors include her husband, George Ash, of Noble, two sons, Ted and Harold Lee, both of Noble; a sister, Aileen Vinson, of Lincoln; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
