Mrs. Ross Heidinger, 69, Dies,
Ending A Six Months Illness

Retired Wayne County Deputy Treasurer, Mrs. Ruby Heidinger, 68, of Fairfield, died at 10:45 p.m. Monday, July 29, 1985, at Good Samaritan Hospitalin Mt. Vernon, following a longterm illness with cancer.

Mrs. Heidinger was operated on last January and was hospitalized for the past two weeks. She was the wife of Ross Heidinger.  Mrs. Heidinger served as deputy treasurer under J. David Dickey and Dorothy McKelvy, both county treasurers. She was active in the Republican party.

 Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday (today) at Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Don Tabor officiating. Burial was in Maple HillCemetery. Nale's Funeral Home handled the funeral arrangements.

Memorial donations may be made to the Cancer Society or the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in lieu of flowers.

Mrs. Heidinger was born in Hickory Hill township, Wayne County, Mar. 27, 1917, the daughter of Elmer and Maude Easley McCormick.     She was wed to Ross Heidinger at Goldengate, Jan. 1, 1938.

 Mrs. Heidinger was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her husband, Ross Heidinger, of Fairfield; one son, Gary Heidinger, of Kingston, Tenn.; a brother Gene McCormick, of Fairfield; and one grandson.
