Former Wayne City Man Dies

Ernest "Bus" Lane, 71 a former Wayne City resident, was pronounced dead-on-arrival at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon at 9 a.m. Tuesday.   Mr. Lane a retired truck driver.

Rites Friday

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the Richardson Funeral Home in Wayne City, with the Rev. Denzil Clark to officiate. Burial will be at the Thomason Cemetery in Wayne City.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Thursday (tonight).

Mr. Lane was born in Wayne county April 12,1910, the son of Claude and Lucy (Hansbrough) Lane. He was married to Maxine Draper October 22, 1932.

The survivors

Surviving are his widow, Maxine, of Mt. Vernon; one brother Clarence Lane of  rural Wayne City; one sister, Etta Shell, of Wayne City; and several nieces and Nephews.
