Emily Marinda (McGrew) Burroughs, wife of William Burroughs, son of Edward and Minerva (Hoyt) Burroughs.

MRS. W. W. BURROUGHS HAD LIVED IN GOLDEN 36 YEARS

 
Miranda Burroughs, 812 Ford street, died at her home Monday, Dec. 11, at 12:45 a.m. She was born Nov. 2, 1853, in Marian county, Ill.  Mrs. Burroughs had lived in Golden 36 years.

 She was the wife of William W. Burroughs who died shortly after they came here in 1903.  She was ill two weeks. She died of old age.

Mrs. Burroughs was a member of the Methodist church.  She received a pension for the blind.  She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. L.E. Craig; three sons, Charles C. Burroughs, Samuel W. Burroughs and Eber O. Burroughs, all of 812 Ford street.  Eleven grandchildren survive.

Services were held at Woods chapel Tuesday, Dec. 12, at 2 p.m.  Rev. G. Frederick Owen, pastor of the Nazarene church, conducted the services.  Burial was in the Golden cemetery.

 The pallbearers were Fred Pomeroy, Glen Claar, George Vary, Oscar Williams, Arthur Allgood and Ed
Johnson.
