Ancil R. Burroughs
1903-2005 Ancil R. Burroughs, 101, of Cheyenne died March 5 at Cheyenne Health Care Center.
He was born Sept. 25, 1903, in Xenia, Ill., to Cal and Lulu (Wolf) Burroughs.

Mr. Burroughs married Gladys Westmoreland on Oct. 26, 1921, in Xenia.

He was a shipping clerk for Buchanan Steel in Michigan.

He attended the Community of Christ.

Mr. Burroughs is survived by three daughters, Imogene Smith of Berrien Springs, Mich., Irene Rees and Lois Hurley both of Cheyenne; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gladys Burroughs, in 1986; and three sisters.

Graveside services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mountain View Memorial Park with the Rev. John Rees officiating.
