CLARENCE W. SCHWARTZ

 Clarence Walter Schwartz, son of Charles and Mae Marie Schwartz, was born in Phelps County near Rolla, Missouri, May 16, 1898 and departed this life July 14, 1962 at 5:30 A. M. at the McFarland Rest Home in Rolla, after a lingering illness, at the age of 64 years, 1 month and 28 days.

In August 10, 1924 he was united in marriage to Mabel S. Knox and to this union 5 children were born, all of whom survive.

He leaves to mourn his passing his devoted wife Mabel S. of the home, 3 sons, Charles A. of Waynesville, Mo., Fred W. of Fenton, Missouri, and Carl C. of Waynesville, 2 Daughters, Della Mae Bailey of Marion, Indiana, Grace Mills of Rolla, Missouri and 11 Grandchildren and other relatives and many many friends.

C. W. as he was most commonly known spent his entire life in and around the Rolla and Waynesville Communities and had as his occupation that of carpenter and a dealer in lumber, until the year 1939 when he opened the Gospel Ridge Oak Mills which he owned and operated for a number of years, following that he opened the S. & S. Furniture store which he operated until his retirement.

Funeral services were held Monday July 16, 1962 at 2 PM at the Waynesville Methodist Church with the Reverend Theodore Wolff officiating. Interment was in the Duncan Cemetery under the direction of the Moss Williams Funeral Home of Waynesville.

Pallbearers Ronald Mills, Butch Bailey, Don Finegan Jr., George Mayor Jr., Lewie Mayor, Bud Maddox.
