OBITUARY

Note from Lois:
Nora was daughter of Charles A. and Mae Marie (Atteberry) Schwartz. She was the sister of Charles Carl Schwartz who married her husband's sister, Myrtle Lee Williams.

MRS. NORA MAE WILLIAMS - Mrs. Nora Mae Williams, daughter of the late Charles A. and Maria Schwartz was born in Brown, Illinois on February 27, 1883 and passed away at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Walter Grant in Springfield, Mo., Monday evening, Oct. 30, 1950. At the time of her death she was 67 years 8 months and 5 days of age. On September 16, 1903 she was united in marriage to John (Jack) Williams and to this union seven children was born, five sons and two daughters. One daughter, Mrs. Mary Rager and two sons, Harrison and an infant preceded their mother in death. Besides the husband she is survived by three sons, Charles, John and Claude, all of St. Louis; the daughter, Mrs. Walter Grant of Springfield, Mo., 14 grandchildren; one brother, C. W. Schwartz of Waynesville and a number of other relatives and many friends. In early life Mrs. Williams came to Phelps County with her parents and has spent the greater part of her life in Phelps County near Rolla. The Williams home is on Route 1, on Dry Fork southeast of Rolla. Mrs. Williams has been a member of the Lutheran Church for many years, she was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Spanish American War Veterans of St. James. Funeral services were conducted from the Null & Sons Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Thursday by Rev. Woodall of Springfield. Burial was made in the Masonic Cemetery at St. James.
