Mrs. Seidel's Mother Dies In Mt. Vernon

Mrs. Leora Cameron, 64, a Bluford resident and mother of Mrs. Roy (Wilma) Seidel, of Fairfield, died at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 15, 1982, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Mt. Vernon.     Mrs. Cameron had been employed as a nurse's aide at Good Samaritan Hospital prior to her illness, the Press was told.

Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Bluford Funeral Home in Bluford, with Rev. Melvin Chambliss officiating. Interment was in Oakdale Cemetery north of Bluford.

She was born in Wayne county Nov. 13, 1918, the daughter of Edgar E. and Lizzie (Davis) Wiggins.  Mrs. Cameron was married to Travis H. Cameron Apr. 26, 1938 and he preceded her in death Nov. 20, 1950.

She was a member of the New Zion Baptist church north of Bluford.

Prior to working at Good Samaritan Hospital Mrs. Cameron had been employed as a nurse's aide at the Schum Nursing Home at Bluford.

Survivors include two sons, Don E. Cameron, of Anchorage, Al., Paul W. Cameron, Bluford; three daughters, Mrs. Macel (Joann) Miller, of Mt. Vernon; Mrs. James (Delorese) Fish, of Rockford; Mrs. Roy (Wilma Seidel), of Fairfield; three brothers, Ted Wiggins, of McLeansboro, Roy Wiggins, of Sycamore; Chester Wiggins, of Sims; one sister, Ruth Wood, of Bluford; 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, three brothers and her parents.
