Gene Lane, 49 of Carpentersville, IL. a former Wayne City man died Friday morning unexpectedly in  Grove City, Pa.   Mr. Lane, a truck driver stopped in that town when he suffered a fatal heart attack.  SEVICES HELD Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday (today) at Richardson Chapel in Wayne City with Bro. Oakley Miller and Vernard ILE officiating. Burial was at the Olive Branch Cemetery south of Wayne City.

Mr. Lane was born in Wayne county on December 19 1930, the son of Clarence and Hazel (Smith) Lane.

He was reared around Wayne City. He was married to a Wayne City girl, Audrey Forth, who survives.  They have lived a number of years in Carpentersville.

Surviving are his widow; two sons Randall Lee, of Dundee, IL; Jerald Eugene, at home and Laurie Ann at home; one grandchild, Nichole and his parents.
