Mrs. Emma Shreve, 86, a Johnsonville housewife, died at 3:20 a.m. Friday at the Clay County Hospital in Flora.

Mrs. Shreve, the widow of Otto Shreve, had been in failing health, the Press was told

Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Rock Branch General Baptist Church with Bro. Melvin Farmer officiating. Burial was in the Cisne Cemetery.

The Husselton Funeral Home in Cisne handled the arrangements.

Mrs. Shreve was born in Wayne County July 12, 1896, the daughter of William Henry and Mary Etta (Harlan) Johnson.

She was first married to Miles Scheel [Schell] Aug. 2, 1916. He preceded her in death May 24, 1953. She was married to Otto Shreve in August, 1956. He preceded her in death August 13, 1973.

Mrs. Shreve was a housewife and a member of the Rock Branch General Baptist Church

Surviving are one son, Norman (Jack) Schell of Xenia; one step-son, Cecil Schell, of Cisne; one daughter, Mrs. Lloyd (Vera) Clements, of Johnsonville, two step-daughters, Mrs. Earl (Bertha) Bearden, of Worhtington, Minn.; and Mrs.  Elmer (Thelma) Iliff, of West Troy, Wis.; 25 grandchildren; 6 greatgrandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Stella, Nora and Olive; one brother, Willie, two daughters, Bernice and Bernise; one son, Delbert. and by her parents.
