MRS. ADAR A. JOHNSON

Again the dreaded and dim monster, Death, has made its appearance in our midst and taken away one more of our beloved ones. Mrs. Adah A. Johnson, the beloved wife of William T. Johnson, departed life at her home, three miles northwest of Enterprise, Wayne County, Illinois, Sunday, February 3rd, 1901, at 10:45 o'clock.

The deceased was born in Bellmont county, Ohio, September 7, 1860, and at the age of one year she moved with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Elliott, to Wayne county, Illinois, settling near her last home. She lived in that vicinity the remainder of her life.

At the age of sixteen years she united her faith with Christ and was baptized into the Christian Church at Gunion, being a constant and devoted member of that church till the close of her life.

On March 3rd, -1879, she was united in marriage with W. T. Johnson, and to this union was born four sons, all of whom survive their departed mother. The deceased was aged 40 years, 4 months and 26 days and leaves a husband, four sons, one sister, two brothers and a host of friends to mourn her loss, she being loved by all who knew her. The funeral services were held at Gunion church, Feb. 4th, being conducted by Rev Williams, of Cisne, Ill., after which the remains were interred in the cemetery to await the resurrection morn.
