Miss Mary Hildebrand died at Rinard at 7:05 o'clock Tuesday morning, aged 14 years, 9 months and 12 days. She and her mother had been staying near Rinard for several weeks. Saturday morning the young lady was operated on for appendicitis and lived seventy-two hours after the operation before death resulted. The remains were brought to Fairfield on the freight train Wednesday morning and the funeral occurred at three o'clock Wednesday afternoon in the First Presbyterian church, Rev. S. E. Taylor conducting the services. Interment in the city cemetery.
