This is a 1932 original obit, I have no idea if she is related to me and if so how, but it must have been important to Grandma Lane.

Mrs. Helen Simpson
of south of town
Died This Week

After an illness of several days Mrs. Helen (Couch) Simpson, wife of the late Claude Simpson was taken from her earthly cares, Monday evening at six o'clock. Since the death of her husband, Mrs. Simpson has made her home aith her parents Mr. and Mrs. W.B. Crouch, who live south of Wayne City, near the county line.

A shadow of sorrow has been cast over the entire neighborhood, as Mrs. Simpson was very popular.

Helen Zola Couch was born on May 5,1911, and departed this life on February 8,1932 at the age of 20 years, 9 months and 3 days. She was united in marriage on December 24, 1928 to Claude Simpson who preceded her in death in March 1929. To this union was born a son, Warren Claude Simpson.

At age 12, she professed her faith in Crist and in September 1930 she united with the Olive Branch Church, where she remained a faithful member until death. She leaves to mourn their loss a son, Warren Claude; a father and mother; two brothers, Russell, of Chicago and Earl of Wayne City; one grandfather, W. H. Shealey and other relatives and friends. In our hour of bereavement we thankfully acknowledge God's wonderful love and wisdom in taking her from these past weeks of pain and uncertainty to her just reward with Him in that home nat made with hands. A loving one from us has gone, A voice we love is stilled; A place is vacant in our home Which never can be filled. Funeral services were held at Olive Branch church, Wednesday, February 10th at 11:00 o'clock by F.H. Clark.
