Melvina Johnson

wife of A.J. MIller, born July 13th, 1844, departed this life March 8th 1918, at the age of 73 years , 7 months and 25 days. She was united in marriage to A.J. Miller, July 23rd, 1862. To this union were born 11 children, 8 of whom are living and three have preceded her to the great beyond. The living are Etta, Thomas, Della, Edward, Edgar, Andrew, Christopher and Clara.

She had been a member of the Latter Day Saints Church for about 25 years.  She  lived a consecrated Christian life. She leaves to mourn their loss a heart broken husband, one sister, Mrs. Harriet Cates, eight children and a host of relatives and friends. She assured all that she was prepared to go and would soon be at rest, and asked them all the prepare to meet her. Our loss is Heaven's gain. She is now among the blood washer throng around the throne.....

Funeral services were held at the Baptist church.... writer after which the remains were laid to rest in the Pin Oak cemetery to await the resurrection morn.. ELD. J.S. BRIGHT
