A serious accident occurred last week near Arrington Prairie, in this county.
James Staton
aged 20 years
He was filling timber with his father, when a limb, falling from a tree, struck young Staton on the head, fracturing his skull in two places. He lived four days.

Singular Death

We learn that W. W. George, of this place, was called upon one day last week, to hold an inquest on the body of one of the oldest citizens of Wayne County, Esq'r. James Clark, Sr., was found dead in a slough between Big and Little Mound Prairies.
