McCann W. H. was a great old preacher from Albion.  He came in on the train.
McThompson Uncle Ben was an old Civil War man.  Hannah was his first wife.  Frank, Jessie, Charlie, Deliah, and Alafaire were their children.  Frank was a great old preacher, greatly respected. Charlie was a little old poor man, a good man, but like a lot of people, he was poor.  Jessie lived where Sessel Clark lives.  His daughter, Inez married Cloyd Sneed
Tilda was Uncle Ben's second wife.  They both had families raised and gone when they married.  They lived on her place, there where Robert Buchanan lives now.
Martin Wm was the father of Ed, Nichless, and Ora.  The lived east of Richard McCormick.
Maulding George lived south of Cross roads, about where theoverpass is, on the west side of the road.  They went to Mt. Vernon.
Mayberry Wm and Elizabeth were my great-grandparents. John B. was my grandfather who I lived with after my Father died.  Catherine was my grandmother, Lillie, George, and A. M. were their children.  George married Alafair Dessie and Vernon were their children.  A. M. married Eva and Cora, Dora, and Ora were their chhildren.  Cora married a Ballard and Dora married John Thomason.  Ducy was my mother.
Belle married Jon Wright and they raised George Stull.
Ennis was a brother to Wm.  Jaret and Walter were his children.  Jaret married first, Flo, and Arabell is their daughter.  Walter married first Dovie Smith.
Means Those are Billy's children, they lived on the Parker place.
Mitchel That's Ike Michel's family.  Alfare was his second wife.  Stella was a daughter-in-law of Ike's.
Peer Douglas was from Ellis Mound.  He was Grace & Bessie's Dad.
Perry Hulbert was from Ellis Mound.
Prince Peter was a preacher boy from Thackery and finally moved down by Barnhill.
Purcell Billy was a Methodist preacher.  He lived between John and O.D. Thomason on the south side. of the road.
Rains J.O. was a State Association man.
Rawls Alpha and Ida were sisters.  Ida married a Martin.
Richards Lillie and Pearl were 2 of Granma Rashes grandchildren.  Her daughter  died and she raised the girls.  Her husband was dead and she raised a big family of her own and at least a dozen others by herself on a little pension and some cows and chickens.  She used to go to town in her wagon with it piled full of kids.
Richardson Agnes was a Sexton and married Bill Richardson
Alifair was a Mitchell before she married 
Brice was killed at the saw mill, he was a brother to Little Polk.
Carel lived on the east side of the road just south of Elmer Shelton's place, across the interstate.
Clemmie was Brice's wife.  She and Mae were Martines from Belle City.
E. P. was a preacher that lived  on the county line.  Helived on the south side and his chicken house was on the north side, so he married people in Hamilton and Wayne County both.  Some he married in the house and some out by the chicken house.
Cora, Edgar, Nettie, and Rosa were Zander's children.  Zanderwas really Alexander but they shortened it.
Effie, Linnie, and Martha were Uncle Polk's daughters.
Effie was a Sexton before she married George Richardson.
May was Little Polk's wife.
Nancy was Uncle Polk's wife.
Ralph and Roy were Uncle Polk's sons.  Roy was ClaudieRichardson's dad.
Will and Lycurgus were brothers
Walter lived at Belle City.
Roarke Henry lived east of the Grove, back in there where Ora Neff used to live.  He was pastor of the church.
Rodman John was the father of Bill, Ed, and Grace who married Frank Garrison.  John married a Miller Girl. 
Scott Phillip was a visiting preacher.  I've been told he lived in the east of Fairfield, a little place called Scottville.  He was a wagon maker.  He made the wheels and everything.  It was really something to see those pretty Scott wagons all painted up and shining.
Sexton Aggie married Will Richardson
Charlie married Matilda, a sister to Andy Jenkins.
Charley, Grig, Fred, and Hannah Williams were Wash's children. Wash lived on the old Henry Scott place.
Aggie Richardson, Ettie Richardson, and Maggie Black were Charley &  Matilda's children.  They were the grandparents of Pauline Bruner and Jessie Draper.
Arabell Mayberry married one of Wash's boys.
Sheley They lived where the big tower is, west of Iris Heifner's old place. Gracie married a Myers, Gussie married Warner Crouch and Ralph married a Hall girl.
Shelton Eda was a sister to Park Hansbraugh, Lucy Lane and Grandma Ray.  Vern was Eda's son and lived on the Ennis Mayberry place, north of the church, up on the road.
Simpson I.O. was Osie Thomason's dad.  He was a pastor of the church at different times.  He lived east of Sessel Clark's on the south side of the road.  The old place has been gone for years. Sarah Draper was his wife.  William was a brother to I.O. and married Retha Draper.
Smith Addie married a Jones and then Almon Good.
Alice was Charley's wife and they lived where MelvinChambliss lives.
Anna was Boyd Kingston's wife,and she was Harrison's bunch.
Daisy was Ruby Turner Bozarth's mother.  She was a trotter.
Dova was Dan Smith's girl and married Walter Mayberry.
Dan lived on the Edward's place, just west of Junior Trotter's.
Earlie was Harrison's girl and married Charlie Close.
Emma was a little crippled girl of Dan's and never married.
Esty was Harrison's girl and married a Myers.
Ezra was Charley's boy.
Gregg was Dan's boy and Muriel Rich's father.
Grover was a dog trader and one of Dan's boys.
Ina was Charlie's girl and married a Fields.
Laura was Gregg's girl and married Otto Ballard.
Mary was Dan's wife.
Myrtle was Oliver's wife 
Oliver lived up there on Flora Smith's corner.
Ross was Uncle Dan's youngest and Herman & Glen's dad.
Walter was Mabel Wright & Morris Smith's dad.
  He was born where Clarence and Hazel Lane live.Wells
Isaac was from Sims, came in here  and worked for Uncle George Mayberry and married Aunt Lillie Mayberry
Standefer He was a preacher from Blooming Grove
Templeman George married Fleeta Draper. His father Tom came from Lawrence County. Templemans, Lathrops and some others came together and settled on and around Scrub Hill
Tennyson Uncle Bud and his brother Sam were from Long Prairie
Thomason Alvin lived where Delmar Williams use to live.
Cal lived where Osis Thomason lives.
Carline was Willie Franks wife they were Ed's parents
Chloe was Oren Boswell's sister she married Roy
Loudora or Dora was Johnnies wife
Ennis was Chall's father a great old Baptist
Fannie was Alvins wife
J. Wilson or Wilce was Ilene Milkeys dad
Mackey lived across from Wilce on the county line.George lived on the Dean Parker place. Maud was his daughter and she taught school and never married.
Orla was Uncle Callie's boy, a brother to John, Orville and O. D.
Peter was Dempsey's dad and lived on the ridge south of Sims.  Richard was a brother to Peter.
Roy was Uncle Wilce and Aunt Minnies boy.
W. F. was Willie Frank and lived on the hill where Ethel Irvin raised her family.
 
Tilbert This was Joe Tlbert that lived out north of Wayne City He taught school at Trotter School and boarded down here. He served as a Sunday School teacher.
Trotter George, we call Bob
Martha Jane, lived where Burl McCormack lived over east. I just remember them talking about Martha Jane Trotter.
Mary A. she sold the church land to build the church on. They told that her man took up all this land in here and then took off and left her with a bunch of kids. Otto married a Sexton girl first and then Charlie Richards girl. He was Dale Trotters dad.
Trout John was an old feller lived east of George Templeman's place. I don't remember him but remember them talking about old John Trout
Tucker He was visiting preacher from Sims
Utterback   H. B. Was an old preacher from Burnt Prairie
Voliva J. H. was a preacher from Dahlgren. He also had a store in there south and west of Marvin Wilkerson.
Whitson Uncle Jimmywas an old Sims preacher.
Williams Alice was Iris Heifner's mother.
Clarence was a half brother to Iris.  He was Marion's boy.
George was Doc Miller's son-in-law.  He was a brother  to Sara Hansbraugh.
Iris was Marion's daughter.  She was Chunks Heifner's grandmother.
Marion was the father of Owen, Clarence, Iris andd Della. They called him Snocks Williams.  He had a little shanty back in the bottoms where he would stay where he would  stay when he went back in there to cut props or cord wood.
There was several of those little shanties down in there.  Folks would stay all week sometimes and cut wood and some stayed all summer
Ora married Clarence  She was a Mayberry before she married.
Witter My Aunt Belle Wrightused to talk about Willard Witter. He was a school teacher, son of Abe Witter.
Wolf Rosa was from Long Prairie but when her mother died she lived with Grandma and Grandpa Smith for a while.  Smith's lived where Millage Nelson or Rosalie Frazier live.  They owned both places.  Rosa married Herchel Parker.
Wright Uncle John married Aunt Belle Mayberry. They never had any children of their own but they raised  George Stull.
