FAMILIES  BURIED  IN  SALINE  CO.,  IL  CEMETERIES

Many people have contacted me asking about the Hall fmailies in Wayne Co, IL.  Many people are not aware that after 1810, many died and are buried in Saline CO.,  IL.  So, I decided to connect the dots for the Hall families in Wayne County  other counties (for now).

My HALL line was one of the first settlers to enter Illinois when it was still 'Indian (or Indiana) Terroitory.  John Hall and his brother were Revolutionary Soldiers.   John's  wife, Polly served as a nurse.  She lived in KY on the Ohio River, across from Shawneetown with all their children.  Then, they moved to what is now Saline County, IL with the families.

Halltown was named after John and his brothers, as it was 'all families'.  Most of them stayed in what is now Saline county, others moved to Hamilton and Wayne County.  David, Henry, and a few other Hall, moved their families to 'Pig Mound', known today as Big Mound..

Nothing was more important to Grandma Williams then familes.  She would visit with as many live ones as she did those that crossed.  My Dad, her, and I traveld a lot on week-ends just for her to 'visit families.  I never knew when she said, "Going to visit famlies", if they were alive or those that 'crossed over'.  Most of the time it was both.

I hope this can be of help to other researchers.
