Brush Creek Church

While visiting Illinois looking for Henson ancestors we found this church at Brush Creek. This is one of two photos of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Brush Creek Branch, organized 1842. This church sets in a beautiful country setting near the Brushy Creek Cemetery where we found more Hensons. According to our guide Olen Henson, many of the local Henson pioneers went to this church. It is near Zenith, IL.

This school sets across from the church above. The sign on the front of the building says "Built in memory of the Old Caudle School House and the organization of the Brush Creek Branch 1842. Both the Church and the school house set near the Brushy Creek Cemetery.
